He is Alive

Greetings in the Strong Name of Jesus!
He is alive!
Luke 24:4-6 - “While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen.” NIV
What an incredible moment this was in the lives of these two women. They had set out to do something very ordinary on a somewhat ordinary day. It was customary to go to the tomb of the deceased several days later and put spices on the body as a part of the burial procedure. But what happened next was quite out of the ordinary.
The tomb had been bothered. The stone was rolled away from the entrance and upon further examination they found the body was no longer there. Their first thoughts were very much like mine would have been; “Someone has stolen His body.” The Word says they were “puzzled”. Then, while they were still in the empty tomb, there suddenly appeared two men in dazzling robes. Okay, I am out of here! But they lingered long enough to hear the men speak to them. They brought peaceful words and an encouraging yet frightening testimony...He is not here-He is risen!
As you go out on a rather ordinary day to do the customary things remember this scene. The One whom who seek is not here...He is risen. But we have the wonderful advantage of already knowing this from history. So, we need not be frightened when Jesus shows up in our lives...yes, the very ordinary and customary events of our everyday lives are punctuated throughout the day with the Presence of Almighty God through His Son, Jesus Christ. There are angels in our lives who repeatedly remind us of Him. They protect us, they provoke us, they encourage us, they strengthen us, they fight with us and for us. These angels, like those who appeared to the women, are in our lives, too. They bring a reminder of the good news that Jesus, whom we seek, is not dead but very much alive to save and to heal.
The stone has been rolled away, the grave is exposed, and it is empty. Live in that reality today. Look for the God-moments that punctuate your life today. Give praise to Him. Suddenly your ordinary day, doing your customary things, will come alive with the message, Jesus is alive - living for me!
You are loved and prayed for!!
